wij psv fffPSV coach Phillip Cocu is resigned to losing his captain, saying after the club’s first training session of the season on Monday, “I think the chances are quite high that Gini leaves,”

So far Russian side Zenit st Petersburg are the only club to have made a bid for the 24-year-old, but their offer of €10 million was swiftly rejected. Wijnaldum can also count on interest from Marseille, PSG, Monaco, Newcastle United and Sunderland, but a move to Serie A is also a possibility.

De Telegraaf are reporting that AC Milan and Roma were keen observers of Wijnaldum last season, and could be next to make their interest official with PSV.

Should Wijnaldum leave then PSV will move for Vitesse Arnhem star Davy Propper, while the club are currently working on the arrivals of wingers Maxime Lestienne (El Arabi), Gaston Pereiro (Nacional) and Steven Berghuis (AZ).
