stam bStam is currently a defensive coach at Ajax, but ever since Clarence Seedorf was named as AC Milan manager, the former Manchester United defender has been linked with a move to the San Siro.

Henk van Ginkel, who is the agent of Stam, has now told Tutto Mercato that there has been contact with AC Milan over a possible move to join the clubs technical staff.

Van Ginkel said, “There have been contacts with Milan. We will not talk about it before it is official. Stam feels flattered by the interest from Milan, but he currently has a contract with Ajax and is also happy.”

The 41-year-old works closely with all the defenders at Ajax, and has been credited with helping Joel Veltman, and Stefano Denswil break into the first team this season.
