The Dutch play-maker has been linked with Premier League side Chelsea, with national team boss Louis van Gaal even advising Sneijder to reunite with Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
Now according to the Daily Star, AC Milan are readying to offer Stephan El Shaarawy to Galatasary in a swap deal for Sneijder, with Roberto Mancini said to be keen on tempting the winger to Turkey.
The deal would be a controversial one, with Sneijder having spent four years with AC’s bitter rivals Inter Milan, however with the 29 year old leaving the side he helped to the Champions League title in bitter circumstances, a deal could be done.
Sneijder’s place in Netherlands national team is currently at risk, and with the World Cup coming up next summer, a move back to Italy may appeal to the ex-Real Madrid, and Ajax star.
