Netherlands youth international Bobby Adekanye is set to depart Liverpool in the summer to join Lazio on a free transfer.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the winger has informed Liverpool that he aims to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer in order to join Lazio.

The 19-year-old spent time in the Ajax academy before spells with Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven before joining Liverpool in 2015.

Adekanye has impressed with his performances in England but injuries have held him back at times and he has failed to make his first team debut.

The forward, who was born in Nigeria but grew up in Netherlands, will hope a move to Italy will rivatilise his career.
