nec hemleinAfter only three minutes, ADO Den Haag midfielder Roland Alberg came close to opening the scoring, but his effort hit the post.

For the away side, Jakob Jantscher was inches away from connecting to the ball in front of goal, while Cristoph Hemlein fired wide before half time.

ADO Den Haag took the lead early in the second half, when a cross from the right hand side was met by Mathias Gehrt, and his diving header found the net.

Just after the opening goal the home side should have scored their second, but striker Mike van Duinen couldn’t convert an excellent chance.

NEC pushed for an equaliser, and found it after 74 minutes, when Hemlein finished well from close range, making up for his earlier miss.

Both sides looked for a winner, but neither side could create any meaningful chances, and it finished 1-1.

Boos ringed round the stadium, as the home crowd who were clearly disappointed let their feelings known, as their side sit 2nd from bottom, with only NEC below them.
