Ajax had an early lead, as Viktor Fischer’s threw ball was headed into the path of Davy Klaassen by Thulani Serero, and the midfielder made no mistake finding the net on 10 minutes with a looping header.
ADO Den Haag were then lucky not to be reduced to ten men, with Michiel Kramer intentionally elbowing Jasper Cillessen in the face, but he was only shown a yellow card.
Viktor Fischer doubled Ajax’s lead just after the half hour, as the Danish winger smashed a fierce shot into the roof of the net, when ADO Den Haag failed to clear.
On 67 minutes, Ajax made it 3-0 as Ricardo Van Rhijn’s shot from distance was palmed into his own net by goalkeeper Coutinho.
On loan forward Bojan made his return from injury, and marked it with the fourth goal in the 89 minute, as the Spaniard finished low into the corner after a one-two with Danny Hoesen.
Another fine win for Frank de Boer’s side to make it the perfect week, and the three points lifts Ajax up to 2nd, while ADO Den Haag remain 17th.
