A late goal from Michiel Kramer rescued ADO Den Haag a 1-1 draw against Go Ahead Eagles in the Kyocera Stadion.

kramer sjdjdGo Ahead Eagles went into the match having lost all their away matches so far this season and boss Foeke Booy was without key players such as Deniz Turuc, Alex Schalk and Lesley De Sa.

In the opening stages the away side struggled to contain ADO Den Haag and Kevin Jansen thought he had given his side the lead after seven minutes but his goal was disallowed for offside while striker Michiel Kramer fired a good chance wide.

In first half stoppage time Giovanni Zuiverloon set up  Mike van Duinen, but the striker could only fire wide meaning ADO Den Haag went into the break with nothing to show for their domination.

Early in the second half Booy threw on 21-year-old striker Teije ten Den and after only three minutes on the pitch the youngster was involved in the opening goal. Ten Den’s presence in the box forced ADO Den Haag defender Timothy Derijck into heading the ball into his own net and giving Go Ahead Eagles the lead.

ADO Den Haag increased the pressure with Eric Cummings having to stop Roland Alberg’s header, but with five minutes to go the goalkeeper misjudged a Aaron Meijer’s cross and when it came down off the bar Kramer was on hand to draw the home side level.

Go Ahead will be disappointed to lose such a late goal but the draw is their first away point of the season, while ADO Den Haag stay 13th.
