ADO Den Haag held on to a 1-1 draw with Willem II despite being reduced to ten men early in the second half.

duplan willHeavy rain and winds in the Hague made conditions difficult for both teams, and especially ADO Den Haag goalkeeper Martin Hansen, who had trouble catching two corners early in the game. The first attempt nearly resulted in Hansen punching the ball into his own net.

On 33 minutes ADO Den Haag took the lead with Kevin Jansen finding the bottom corner with a strike from the edge of the area which took a deflection of a Willem II defender.

However the advantage swung to Willem II ten minutes into the second half when Dion Malone brought down Lucas Andersen in the box, earning the defender a red card and the visitors a penalty. Nick van der Velden slotted in the penalty to level the scores.

Despite the extra man Willem II could not push for a winner, and they in the end settled for a point which keeps them 15th, while ADO Den Haag sit 12th.
