ADO Den Haag made it three wins from three with an entertaining victory over Groningen in the Hague.

Groningen made a bright start to the game and nearly took the lead through Samir Memisevic, but it was ADO Den Haag who opened the scoring on 13 minutes, which led to the hosts running riot with three goals in the space of ten minutes.

Firstly Danny Bakker turned the ball past Sergio Padt following a clever corner routine before Dion Malone made it 2-0 moments later on the rebound. Sheraldo Becker then crossed for Mike Havenaar to head in on 23 minutes to put the hosts firmly in the driving seat. Two minutes into the second half, Malone tapped in his second to make it 4-0.

On 52 minutes, Groningen pulled one back as Mimoun Mahi slotted in from the penalty spot after Jesper Drost was pulled down in the box. Bryan Linssen then threatened a miraculous comeback with a double which in the end proved to be nothing but a consolation as ADO Den Haag held on.

The win lifts ADO Den Haag up to 13th, while Groningen are 11th.
