ADO Den Haag struck twice late on to earn a 3-3 draw against Willem II.

The hosts went into the game sitting second bottom and they looked on course for another defeat when Willem II took a 2-0 lead into half-time.

Freek Heerkens opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Vangelis Pavlidis curled in a lovely second just before the break.

The home crowd jeered their side off at the break but four minutes into the second half they got to cheer. Tomas Necid made it 2-1 after the ball fortunately fell at his feet.

ADO’s hope of a comeback seemed to go in the 55th minute when Pavlidis found himself free to net his second and Willem II’s third.

However, in the 83rd minute, Necid netted again from a corner. Then with two minutes left, John Goossens made it 3-3 with a stunning strike from distance that flew into the top corner.

The point isn’t enough to move ADO Den Haag from 17th while Willem II sits 6th.
