ADO Den Haag have confirmed the appointment of Alan Pardew as their new head coach until the end of the season.

The Eredivisie strugglers have been looking for a new head coach since Alfons Groenendijk stepped down last month.

Alan Pardew will now step in on a short-term deal with the focus of keeping the club in the Eredivisie. He will be assisted by Chris Powell.

The 58-year-old former West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Newcastle United boss takes over an ADO Den Haag currently sitting 17th and three points from safety.
