ADO Den Haag has confirmed the signing of Daryl Janmaat on a three-year deal.

The 34-time Netherlands international has been without a club since leaving Watford at the end of last season, and has now decided to return to ADO Den Haag.

Janmaat came through the ADO Den Haag academy before he moved onto Heerenveen, Feyenoord, Newcastle United and then Watford in 2016.

The right-back has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal in the Hague and told the club’s website, “It is wonderful to come back to the club where it all started for me.Β This feels like coming home.”

The 31-year-old will look to help the club avoid relegation.
