PEC Zwolle inflicted a fifth straight defeat on ADO Den Haag in Sunday’s early kick-off. John Stegeman’s side came from behind to win 3-1.

Both sides went into the game in poor form with ADO Den Haag losing four on the trot, while PEC Zwolle tasted defeat in their last three without scoring a single goal.

ADO Den Haag got off to a perfect start when Dion Malone found Michiel Kramer with a cross and the striker found the net to make it 1-0 in the eighth minute.

The visitors were the better side for most of the first-half but in the 38th minute, Illias Bel Hassani nodded in an equaliser.

The second half was a poor affair but fifteen minutes from time, Reza Ghoochannejhad tapped in from close range. The goal was initially ruled out for offside but after consulting VAR, that decision was overturned.

Pelle Clement then sealed the win in the final minute, with the midfielder rounding Luuk Koopmans before slotting into an empty net.

PEC Zwolle climbs up to 13th while ADO Den Haag are 17th.
