ADO Den Haag are off the mark for the season after a comfortable 3-0 victory at RKC Waalwijk.

ADO Den Haag went into the game on the back of three straight losses to begin their season while RKC were also looking for their first win, having just earned one point.

In the 19th minute, ADO Den Haag took the lead when Tom Beugelsdijk rose to head in a John Goossens cross.

RKC had chances to equalise before the break, but Robert Zwinkels denied Darren Maatsen’s poor finish.

In the 57th minute, Tomas Necid doubled the visitors lead with an opportunistic strike from outside the box that surprised RKC goalkeeper Kees Heemskerk.

RKC made changes with Dylan Vente making his debut, but he could not help the hosts make a comeback and Necid made it 3-0 for ADO Den Haag from the penalty spot after a clumsy foul on Aaron Meijers.

ADO Den Haag were reduced to ten men late on when Danny Bakker saw his second yellow card but it did not impact the result.

With the victory, ADO Den Haag earns their first points of the campaign and they now sit 13th. RKC are now 17th.
