ADO Den Haag have ended 2015 in fine fashion as they stunned Heerenveen 4-0 in the Abe Lenstra Stadion.

ado heer baakWith Mike Havenaar missing the match, Henk Fraser decided to start the game with a new tactic as winger’s Edouard Duplan and Ruben Schaken started up front. It proved to be a success as the Heerenveen defence couldn’t handle the duo’s movement on twenty minutes and that allowed the space for Aaron Meijers to fire the visitors ahead.

Heerenveen struggled to find any way back into the game and five minutes into the second half their defence was cut open and Danny Bakker slotted in ADO Den Haag’s second. After an hour Tom Beugelsdijk blasted in a third before Kevin Janssen finished the rout in injury time.

The win lifts ADO Den Haag to tenth, while Heerenveen sit one place behind.
