ADO Den Haag eased their relegation worries with a 5-0 victory over Utrecht.

Utrecht went into the game in great form and looking for a win which would put them within a point of fourth-placed Feyenoord. However, it was a total off-day for Dick Advocaat’s side.

After 11 minutes, Lex Immers reacted quickest to net after Nasser El Khayati’s effort was blocked.

Utrecht went looking for the equaliser but missed chance after chance before Aaron Meijers doubled the hosts lead in the 36th minute with a good strike into the far corner. Straight from kick-off, ADO Den Haag robbed the ball, ventured forward and eventually Danny Bakker fired in the hosts third goal.

Utrecht failed to make a comeback in the second half and Tomas Necid made it 4-0 before Immers wrapped up the comfortable victory in the final minute.

The victory lifts ADO Den Haag up to 12th while Utrecht stay 5th.
