A 93rd-minute strike by Sheraldo Becker saw ADO Den Haag defeated AZ Alkmaar 3-2 in the AFAS Stadion.

Looking to reclaim third spot from Feyenoord, AZ dominated from the start but Robert Zwinkels denied Guus Til, Calvin Stengs and Oussama Idrissi, while Ron Vlaar put a header over.

ADO Den Haag were barely in the game but in the 32nd minute, Erik Falkenburg headed them in front from a corner. Three minutes into the second half, the former AZ star netted his second header of the game to make it 2-0.

AZ were stunned but they kept fighting and substitute Albert Gudmundsson pulled one back in the 85th minute from the 16-yard box. The winger then equalised at the back post after an excellent ball into the box by Adam Maher.

The home side pushed forward looking for a winner but in the 93rd minute, ADO broke and Sheraldo Becker raced into the box before slotting past Marco Bizot to give ADO Den Haag the victory.

ADO Den Haag are up to 11th while AZ remain fourth.
