ADO Den Haag decided last month that they would not renew Alan Pardew’s contract. It was immediately expected that Maurice Steijn would be first choice in the Hague.
However, AD is reporting that Aleksander Rankovic, who is currently assistant head coach with Sparta Rotterdam, is the favourite. Talks have already taken place between ADO and their former player.
Rankovic played for Vitesse Arnhem and ADO Den Haag and became a coach with both clubs before following Henk Fraser to Sparta two years ago. He is said to be open to the move to ADO Den Haag.
