Jaap Stam has tasted defeat for the first time since becoming PEC Zwolle boss. His side went down 1-0 at ADO Den Haag.

PEC Zwolle were dealt a blow before kick off with Mike van Duinen ruled out through injury. However, the visitors dominated the early stages and through Stanley Elbers and Gustavo Hamer they caused the hosts problems.

The visitors couldn’t turn their dominance into a goal and just before the break, Giovanni Troupee put ADO Den Haag in front. The right-back raced into the box before lifting the ball into the top corner.

ADO sat back in the second half and PEC Zwolle struggled to find a way through their defence. Stam’s side ended the match with ten men when Younes Namli saw red for a second yellow card.

The victory lifts ADO Den Haag up to ninth while PEC Zwolle are 12th.
