The Scottish FA is looking for a new head coach after sacking Alex McLeish earlier this month.
According to Algemeen Dagblad, Dick Advocaat is one of the candidates to take over along with Sven-Göran Eriksson and Felix Magath.
Advocaat, who has had previous experience in Scotland with Glasgow Rangers, is currently in charge of Utrecht but will leave the club at the end of the season.
The 71-year-old is showing no signs of retiring and the Scottish Sun believe he is open to taking the job if the Scottish FA make a formal approach.
