Dick Advocaat believes Ruud Gullit should be the new Netherlands national team head coach.

When Advocaat was appointed Netherlands coach in 2017 he appointed Gullit as his assistant. He now believes Gullit should be given the position on a full-time basis.
He told Voetbal International, “A national coach must have charisma. Especially towards those players. They have to want to take things from you, they have to take a national coach seriously. That would certainly be the case with Gullit.
“Make Ruud national coach and you will not be fooled anywhere in the world.”
Looking back at their time together with Oranje, Advocaat said, “Wherever we came with Oranje, everyone wanted to visit Ruud. When we lost in France, the first thing all those great French players did was visit Ruud Gullit. I actually thought that was phenomenal to see, the appearance of that man. A Dutch person who loosens up so much in the world, shouldn’t we be careful with that? Shouldn’t we make use of such a man? I do not understand that Ruud is not active in any position within the KNVB. There is no better ambassador than he is.”

I would go with either Seedorf/Kluivert, Rijkaard or Frank de Boer, to be honest. The way the Dutch played against Italy three days ago, was abysmal at best.
I hope that they get a good coach its a shame to loose like that vs italy ,no 1 want to run only 1 chance to score, this is the dutch team ?? Or andorra?? come on take it seriously or never going to win a cup from the friendlies need to start or else to late the dutch was lucky vs italy that wasn’t humiliate
Louis Van Gaal has to be the first choice. With his knowledge and experience and style of play he is exactly what that young squad needs. He will get them playing good football whilst being tight in defence. Frank De Boer might be better suited to international management given his past failures so would be a good alternative choice.

Van Gaal has to be first choice in my opinion. With this wealth of knowledge and experience he is exactly what this young Dutch team need. He will allow the players to be expressive, promote an attacking brand of football and will keep things tight in defence. Second choice would be De Boer as international management may suit him more than club management and he deserves a chance too.
Holland, deserved to had at least one world Cup and one more Europe Cup. Holland is the Brazil of Europe the Dutch taught all of them the total football. I live my life to see them lift the world cup trophy.
