Feyenoord are on the lookout for a new striker this month and one of the players linked has been Jeremain Lens, who is currently with Besiktas.
Speaking to Fox Sports, Feyenoord boss Dick Advocaat confirmed that he spoke with Lens but doesn’t think a deal will be possible.
He said, “I spoke to him, but initially he preferred to stay with Besiktas.
“In Spain we spoke to the board. They asked me how I see the team and if anything else needs to be done. Someone has to come after Jörgensen. And a midfielder needs to be added.”
Lens is currently out with a hamstring injury and has been restricted to 10 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig so far.
