Netherlands currently sit fourth in their group and can’t afford any more slip-ups if they are to reach the tournament in Russia next year.

Advocaat said, ”The squad is reasonably fit. Apart from Wesley Sneijder starting I have not yet revealed the starting lineup. I prefer to tell the players first before I tell the press.

”I am pleased to be back managing the national team and we must win tomorrow.  Without a doubt will be playing against a team that is very defensively minded with 8 or 9 players behind the ball.

”We will have to patient too. The squad may not use any excuses that the do not have the quality. Quality is also not enough we will have to be energetic too.

”I can stimulate the players. But it is up to them to take the initiative and show that they want to win the game.”
