vdw-ffThe Dutch right-back was left out of the Fenerbahce squad for their win over Gençlerbirligi, along with striker Emmanuel Emenike for unprofessional behaviour.

After the game, head coach Dick Advocaat was frank on the duo’s future with the Turkish giants, telling both they should find new clubs.

Advocaat said,  “I think it’s better for both of them that they look for a new club.

“That seems to be the best solution for everyone. Maybe they can do it with another coach, but not with me,”

Van der Wiel joined Fenerbahce from PSG in the summer but has only made 12 appearances for the club due to injuries and a lack of form.
