The home side dominated from the kick off, but had to wait until the 33rd minute to open the scoring, with Davy Klaassen ghosting through an open NAC defence to fire into the corner.
The midfielder then made it 2-0 just before the break, as he brilliantly volleyed in Viktor Fischer’s cross from the right hands side of the box.
Klaassen sealed his hat-trick on 63 minutes by latching onto a long ball before slotting past a helpless Jelle ten Rouwelaar.
Substitute Bojan extended the lead four minutes later with a close range finish from Ricardo van Rhijn’s cross.
Three minutes before the end NAC’s Joey Suk was shown a straight red card for a nasty challenge on Fischer to compile a horrible night for the visitors.
The win see’s Ajax remain in second place, two points below leaders Vitesse, while NAC remain in 11th place.
