Ajax have confirmed the signing of talented Brazilian midfielder Giovanni from Santos.

The midfielder’s contract with Santos expired at the end of January but the transfer to Ajax was delayed with the Brazilian side believing they were still entitled a fee.
Ajax appealed to FIFA to intervene and they have now confirmed that Giovanni can be registered as a player in Amsterdam with immediate effect.
The 18-year-old joins Ajax on a contract until 2024 and will initially join up with the Jong Ajax squad.
