The 25-year-old hasn’t featured for Ajax in weeks after telling coach Peter Bosz that he didn’t have the mentality to be a substitute at the club. His exodus to the reserve squad made a January move inevitable and Tianjin Teda made Gudelj an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Gudelj signed for Ajax from AZ Alkmaar in 2015 and made around 40 league appearances for the club, scoring six times.
