Ajax have confirmed that centre-back Davinson Sanchez has signed for Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth €42 million.

Talks over a deal for the Colombian have been taking place for weeks and finally on Friday, Ajax confirmed that Sanchez had left the club to sign a five-year deal with Tottenham. The deal will be officially confirmed after Sanchez passes his medical and gains a work permit
The Premier League side will pay an initial €40 million for the 21-year-old, with that fee rising to €42 million through bonuses.
Sanchez signed for Ajax last summer from Atlético Nacional for €5 million, with the defender making 45 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals. In London he will join up with former Ajax trio Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen.
