Ajax have completed the signing of Roda JC goalkeeper Benjamin van Leer.

After Diederik Boer decided to return to PEC Zwolle, Ajax were on the lookout for a back-up goalkeeper for Andre Onana. Benjamin van Leer was their number one target, and the club confirmed his signing on Friday.
The 25-year-old, who came through the PSV academy has signed a four-year deal in Amsterdam and told the club’s official website, “I am very happy, proud and very grateful to be from today playing for this club. For me it was clear that I wanted to join Ajax. At this club you just want to play. I wanted to play with Ajax instead of playing against Ajax.”
Ajax have reportedly paid €700,000 for the stopper.
