As a reward for last night’s 4-3 aggregate victory over Germans Schalke, Ajax have drawn Olympique Lyonnais for the chance to reach the Europa League final.

Already making their first European semi-final appearance since 1997, the Dutch giants will hope to go one step further when they face Lyon at home on 4th May and away on 11th May.

In the other semi-final tie, Spaniards Celta Vigo play Manchester United.

I'm a physics student from the UK and a massive Eredivisie fan. Started watching after being inspired by the Netherlands national team after the 2010 World Cup. Wilfred Bouma also has a big part to play in my initial keen interest in the league, being a Villa fan meant I wanted to keep track of my favourite player.
