Ajax duo Andre Onana and Hakim Ziyech have both been nominated for the African Player of the Year award.

Both players were named in the original 30 names announced back in November. On Wednesday, the final ten nominees were announced and the Ajax duo were once again present.
Both Onana and Ziyech have had an exceptional year with Ajax, who won the Eredivisie title and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
Onana and Ziyech are joined by Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Sadio Mane (Liverpool), Ismaïl Bennacer (AC Milan), Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal), Odion Ighalo (Shanghai Shenhua), Riyed Mahrez (Manchester City), Youcef Belaïli (Al-Ahli)
The winner will be announced on the 20th of January 2020. Salah has won the award for the past two years in a row.
