Ajax have confirmed that the club has extended Daley Sinkgraven’s contract by an extra year.

The midfielder recently returned to action after a year out with a knee injury, making two appearances in the Eredivisie so far.

Sinkgraven’s contract was up in the summer but Ajax have used an option to extend it by a further year.

Sinkgraven told the Ajax website, “This is certainly good news. I have been through a difficult period. I want to prove myself more and now I have a little longer time for that.”

The 23-year-old joined Ajax from Heerenveen back in 2015 but his time in Amsterdam has been hampered by injuries.
