Dutch giants Ajax have been widely linked with a move for Juventus wonderkid Moise Kean, 18, with Calciomercato suggesting that the Amsterdam club hope to use the Serie A leaders interest in centreback Matthijs de Ligt to help broker a deal.

Italian international Kean, who spent last season on loan at Hellas Verona, has failed to cement himself in the Juventus team this season, with his playing time limited to two minutes of football in the domestic league. Consequently, the teenager has been linked with a loan switch away, with Leeds and Bologna also interested.

Though Ajax are keen to make a permanent move for Kean, the clubs representatives have been put off by the price tag above the players head – and a loan move with view to buy seems to most likely option for the Champions League quarter finalists. Reports suggest the Ajax hierarchy feel they are in the strongest position to secure the switch given the intense contact they have had with Juventus representatives recently as they push to seal their own deal for Ajax’s Golden Boy de Ligt.

Ajax almost signed Kean as a 16 year old, though he eventually opted for the Turin club. His contract there expires in the summer of 2020.
