After Deyverson had given Getafe the lead last Thursday, the Brazilian forward decided to celebrate in front of the Ajax fans. He then went to ground after being struck on the leg by a lighter.
Ajax have confirmed on their website that UEFA have seen the images of objects being thrown, while several chairs in the Getafe stadium were damaged.
Ajax has six days to respond to UEFA before a decision is made on the 26th of March.
The Amsterdam club must now fear a sanction after their fans also caused trouble twice in the Champions League this season against Chelsea and Valencia.
