Ajax are interested in signing Australian winger Tommy Oar from Utrecht according to RTV Utrecht programme Namen & Rugnummers.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at Utrecht in the summer, and with no talks over a new deal scheduled Ajax director Marc Overmars is ready to pounce according to RTV Utrecht.
Overmars may see Oar as a replacement for Lasse Schone, who’s deal in Amsterdam also expires at the end of the season, and with the midfielder linked to the likes of AC Milan, Besiktas, and Borussia Monchengladbach, it may be hard to convince him to remain at Ajax.
Oar signed for Utrecht from Brisbane Roar in 2010, and has so far made 89 appearances for the club, scoring four goals. The winger is a regular in the Australian national team, representing his nation twenty times, including the match against Netherlands at last summer’s World Cup.
