Blind has struggled to hold down a spot in Jose Mourinho’s side this season and with no new contract offer on the table a summer exit from Old Trafford is likely. Blind’s current contract only has one year left to run.

Now according to The Sun, Ajax are set to make contact with Manchester United to see what the Premier League giants are planning for Blind and they may make an offer to bring him back to Amsterdam.

Blind left Ajax for Old Trafford in a £14 million move back in 2014 when Louis van Gaal was in charge. He had been a first-choice starter under Van Gaal, but since Mourinho took charge things have changed. The 27-year-old started nine out of the opening ten games at the start of the season but since then he has fallen out of favour. The game with Everton on Tuesday was Blind’s first appearance in four games and he was hooked at half-time.
