According to Dagblad van het Noorden, Ajax have sent a scout to watch Groningen in action twice this week with 17-year-old sensation Ludovit Reis a reported target.

Reis has broken into the Groningen line-up this season, making ten league appearances and scoring once.
Dagblad van het Noorden, believe that Ajax’s scout was in the stand to watch the young midfielder, and Groningen boss Ernest Faber understands the interest.
He said, “Well, you have to listen, Ludovit is a guy who stands out, seventeen years old, starting player and everything you need in modern football as a midfielder. Speed, dynamism, duel power, he can defend and attack, that is exactly what is needed today.”
However, Faber believes Juninho Bacuna could have also been a target, “The same applies to the person standing next to him (Juninho Bacuna), Who is twenty years old and already has almost seventy matches in the Eredivisie behind his name, and of course, they are on the radar at other clubs.
“I see it as a compliment to our staff, group of players and the training of the club.”
