According to a report in Turkey, Ajax will not be making Ryan Babel’s loan move from Galatasaray permanent this summer.

Babel returned to Amsterdam for a third spell in January on loan until the end of the campaign.

The forward was hoping to impress Ronald Koeman enough to clai his place at the now cancelled Euro’s this summer. However, Babel is yet to score for Ajax and fans have been less than impressed with the winger’s performances.

Turkish newspaper Sabah is now reporting that Ajax are not interested in making the forward’s move permanent this summer.

Babel will return to Turkey, but Galatasaray will hope to ease their financial issues by selling the 33-year-old to a Chinese club or one from Qatar.

Babel still has a contract with Galatasaray for another two years.
