Andre Onana 6.5/10: Could do nothing about the two goals he conceded and made some good saves throughout the game.
Noussair Mazraoui 5.5/10: Struggled on the right at times in the first-half and was hampered by a yellow card, which meant he was substituted early in the second half. Fired a few shots off target early on.
Nicolas Tagliafico 6.5/10: Solid enough defensively but did not offer much going forward at all during the game. Ajax caught out at the back a few times in the second half on Tagliafico’s side.
Perr Schuurs 7/10: Turned by Zapata in the first-half but grew in confidence. Was solid in the second half and went on two mazy runs forward. Almost made it 3-0 after a great run into the box.
Daley Blind 6.5/10: Struggled with the pace of Zapata at times and was shrugged off. Did well with the ball at his feet though and got Ajax moving forward.
Davy Klaassen 6.5/10: Broke up Atalanta attacks and drove Ajax forward. Was mainly used in a defensive role during this game and had very little influence going forward.
Ryan Gravenberch 7/10: Did well physically against the Atalanta midfield and moved Ajax forward with his dribbling ability. Does not look out of place in the Champions League as an 18-year-old.
David Neres 6/10: Provided the cross for Traore’s goal and worked hard in the attack. However, lost the ball often and faded in the second half.
Dusan Tadic 5.5/10: Scored the penalty for Ajax, but was otherwise invisible throughout the game. Worked hard but in the second half struggled badly to get involved.
Antony 7.5/10: Constantly ran at the Atalanta defence and was a threat throughout the game. Came close to scoring when the score was at 2-2. Ajax will be worried after he left the game on a stretcher.
Lassina Traore 7.5/10: Won the penalty for Ajax and scored the second goal. A performance that proves he can handle the pressure of playing up front for Ajax. In the second half, though, he tired and his touch became very heavy.
Substitutes
Sean Klaiber 5.5/10: Came on for Mazraoui and did okay defensively but provided very little going forward.
Quincy Promes 4.5/10: You could barely tell he was even on the pitch after replacing Neres. Did not get involved at all.
Zakaria Labyad N/A: Not on long enough to get a rating
