Andre Onana 7.5/10: Could do nothing with the goal but made crucial saves to keep Ajax in front. A relief that he was able to play tonight.
Nouassair Mazraoui 6.5/10: A decent performance from the right-back who was strong in his duels and an outlet going forward.
Nicolas Tagliafico 6/10: The goal came on his side as he looked out of position but he was given very little help from his teammates. Improved defensively in the second half.
Perr Schuurs 4.5/10: Deservedly substituted early in the second half. Gave the ball away constantly and was on a yellow card. Not a good performance.
Lisandro Martinez 5/10: Really struggled in the first-half against Kaba, and was caught out of position a few times. Improved in the second half as Ajax got more control but not a good performance.
Ryan Gravenberch 7/10: The strongest of Ajax’s midfield starters, Gravenberch had a mature game. Kept possession and broke up play at times. For an 18-year-old, Gravenberch definitely has something special.
Daley Blind 5.5/10: Looked uncomfortable and overrun in the midfield during the first half. Improved when Davy Klaassen came on but didn’t have his greatest game.
Jurgen Ekkelenkamp 4/10: You couldn’t tell he was on the pitch in the first half and was subbed at the break. Got a chance tonight but didn’t take it.
Quincy Promes 4.5/10: Played a part in both goals by passing to Tadic but other than that he did nothing. Lost possession constantly and could not beat his man in several dangerous situations. A player struggling for confidence.
Dusan Tadic 7.5/10: Tadic behind the victory with an excellent assist and then a great goal for the second. A crucial link for Ajax in Denmark and it was a relief that he was allowed to play.
Antony 7/10: Took his early goal well and was a threat with his pace throughout. Saw his second goal disallowed for offside before being substituted.
Substitutes:
Davy Klaassen 7/10: Ajax much more solid with Klaassen on the pitch for Ekkelenkamp. His hard work and drive a key factor in holding on for the win.
Edson Alvarez 6/10: Replaced Schuurs and didn’t put a foot wrong. A decent performance from the Mexican.
