Ajax have finally presented big-money January signing David Neres to the press.

The Brazilian winger sealed his €12 million move from Sao Paulo to Ajax on deadline day but due to his involvement with the Brazilian U20’s, Neres has only just become available to Peter Bosz.
Speaking at a press conference, the 19-year-old revealed talks with Ajax had been ongoing for a while, “Ajax’s interest dates back to last year. Since then we have had quite a lot of contact. I’m glad it’s come around because Ajax is a big club.”
On his ambitions, Neres was clear, “I hope to adapt quickly. The first goal is the league title and then the Champions League.”
Neres indicated that he is ready to play this weekend against Vitesse, but director Marc Overmars is more cautious, “But it’s a little early.”
