Ajax will remain top of the Eredivisie table after spanking Roda JC 6-0 in the Amsterdam Arena.

In the absence of Riechedly Bazoer and Mitchell Dijks, Frank de Boer opted for an attacking 3-4-3 formation, and it proved effective as Ajax eased to victory.
The game was as good as over in the first five minutes as Ajax raced into a two goal lead. Firstly Viktor Fischer netted after Joel Veltman’s header struck the post, and a minute later the Dane turned provider to find the returning Arkaduisz Milik, who had a simple finish.
Just before the half hour mark it was 3-0 as Milik’s cross was finished off by Davy Klaassen and just before the hour mark another cross from the Polish international was slid in by Fischer.
Milik netted his second with a free kick which was misjudged by Benjamin van Leer, and just before the end a clever flick from Fischer set up Klaassen to finish off the rout.
Ajax will remain top of the Eredivisie this weekend, while Roda JC sit 10th.
