Ajax have confirmed the signing of Owen Wijndal from AZ Alkmaar on a five-year deal.

Ajax had a verbal agreement with AZ Alkmaar for the left-back but the deal took time to officially be confirmed. On Tuesday, Ajax were finally able to announce Wijndal’s arrival.
The 22-year-old is the intended replacement for Nicolas Tagliafico, who is set to depart Amsterdam this summer. Wijndal has signed a contract until 2027 with Ajax paying AZ around €10 million.
The Netherlands international has spent his whole career with AZ Alkmaar and made 142 appearances for the club.
