Ajax have signed PEC Zwolle goalkeeper Diederik Boer after Kenneth Vermeer left the club for Feyenoord.

Vermeer completed his move to Feyenoord earlier today, and Ajax immediately announced the signing of PEC Zwolle’s 33-year-old goalkeeper Diederik Boer on a three year contract.
Speaking to the Ajax official site, Boer said, “That i can play at Ajax is a great opportunity. I’m very happy and very proud. This is a dream come true ”
Boer has spent 13-years in the PEC Zwolle first team and made 293 league appearances for the club, and helped them win the KNVB Cup last season. The goalkeeper, who has only four fingers on one hand, will play back up to number one Jasper Cillessen.
PEC Zwolle have signed Feyenoord and Netherlands U21 international goalkeeper Warner Hahn on loan as Boer’s replacement.
