The Amsterdam side have been long admirers of the Argentine, who after protracted negotiations puts pen to paper on a deal until summer 2023. He will provide competition for Matthijs de Ligt and Daley Blind, whose long-term futures at the club are uncertain.

The 25-year-old will join up with Erik ten Hag’s side during their American training camp from January 5th.

Magallan started his career with Gimnasia La Plata before he joined Boca Juniors in 2012. He made 75 appearances for Boca Juniors, while also spending time on loan with Rosario Central, and Defensa y Justicia.
