Kishna is yet to make his official debut for the club, but is expected to feature before the end of the season after featuring in a friendly against Trabzonspor recently.
The 19-year-old has gained a number of admirers for his performances with Ajax’s youth teams including first team coach Frank de Boer.
De Boer is so impressed by Kishna that he will not add to his squad this January, with the club pulling out of a deal for Benfica winger Ola John.
Kishna’s contract expires this summer, and big clubs such as Liverpool, Juventus, and Manchester City have been linked with moves for the young Dutchman. However according to Voetbal International Ajax are set to tie the talent down to the club with a new three year deal, which will keep the attacker in Amsterdam until 2017.
Compared recently to Robin van Persie by an ex-coach this week, Kishna appears to be an exciting young prospect for Ajax, and one that they will be keen not to lose so early in his career.
