According to AS, Ajax have set their sights on signing Atletico Madrid defender Nehuen Pérez but the move has been put into doubt due to the corona virus outbreak.

The Argentinian defender is currently on loan with Portuguese side Famalicão, where he has caught the eye of Ajax.

According to AS, Ajax were set to sign the 19-year-old for a fee of €25 million, which would have been a club record fee. However, that deal has now been placed into doubt due to the corona virus outbreak.

A move is now not certain and instead Atletico Madrid are set to keep Perez and offer him a chance in their first-team.
