The Argentinian defender is currently on loan with Portuguese side Famalicão, where he has caught the eye of Ajax.
According to AS, Ajax were set to sign the 19-year-old for a fee of €25 million, which would have been a club record fee. However, that deal has now been placed into doubt due to the corona virus outbreak.
A move is now not certain and instead Atletico Madrid are set to keep Perez and offer him a chance in their first-team.
