According to The Telegraph, Nathan Ake can leave Bournemouth for a lower fee this summer due to the club’s relegation.

The Dutch centre-back has been linked with Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United this summer, and was expected to raise Bournemouth a big fee.

However, The Telegraph is reporting that Ake does not have a relegation clause in his contract to reduce his wages for the Championship. This means that Bournemouth will have to sell him and possibly for a much reduced fee.

Bournemouth’s relegation means a number of key players will be leaving. It is unclear what the future holds for Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld.
