Ake made his professional debut with Chelsea after joining the club’s academy at a young age. He had loan spells with Reading and Watford before joining Bournemouth. He then joined Manchester City in 2020, but has not managed to hold down a regular spot with the Premier League champions.
Chelsea is keen to add a new centre-back this summer and are now looking to bring Ake back to the club. According to The Telegraph and Fabrizio Romano, personal terms have already been agreed.
However, Chelsea and Manchester City are yet to agree on a transfer fee with the latter reportedly asking for around £40-45 million to part with the Dutch international.
