With Bournemouth set to be relegated, Ake has been linked with a departure for months with Chelsea and Manchester United also linked.
However, The Guardian is reporting that Manchester City are close to signing the Dutch international in a £35 million deal.
It is unclear whether Bournemouth have accepted this offer, but it is assumed that a deal will be confirmed after the season ends next weekend.
The 25-year-old has been with Bournemouth since joining from Chelsea back in 2017. He is captain of the club and has made 121 appearances.
